Lying in Siyang County called “Home of Poplar”, China Poplar Museum covers an area of 62 mu. As the world’s unique poplar museum, it was established and opened to the public in 2007. Now it has developed into an AAAA national tourism attraction and also a base for wedding photography. To build up a comprehensive public environmental exhibition zone, Main Exhibition Hall, Breeding Chamber, Digital Greenhouse, Poplar Cultivar Garden and Tourist Reception Center are set up within the Museum. At present, Main Exhibition Hall has nine exhibition rooms which introduce development of poplar, relevant products and cultural art works. China Poplar Museum was designated as the main center for holding three China Poplar Festivals and Poplar Industrial Expos, and was also the place to hold the 23^rd IUFRO World Congress. The Museum won unanimous admiration from visitors both at home and abroad with its unique culture glamour and the crucial position in the history of poplar. In 2008, when James Carl, Secretary of the 23^rd International Poplar Commission visited the museum, he wrote that Siyang was the world’s capital of poplar. The Museum is the first poplar museum in both China and the world. It together with the Poplar Festival will exert a great influence on the popularization of poplar knowledge and people’s daily life.
